Pineapple Lumps, Here We Come.
The main course of our 2015 Further West Tour is nearly done. So far, we've dropped in on Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico. Dessert and coffee will begin in the second week of April. Why the gap? Our 2015 You're Getting To Be a Hobbit With Me tour of New Zealand gets in the way. We toured this glorious country two years ago and loved it so much that we've invited ourselves back. Photographic evidence of our American exploits so far are visible in two parts. Our New Zealand photos will begin to multiply here.
Things we discovered over the past two months:
- Getting a work visa for New Zealand was way easier two years ago.
- In Langtry, TX, the Blue Meanie turned 200,000 and, except for a few loose bolts, is still running pretty well.
- In Truth or Consequences, NM, Rebecca turned 50 and, except for a few loose bolts, is still running pretty well.
- Our friends and family in the northeast got a lot of snow and it was cold.
- Out of deference to our freezing northern friends and disdain for us, the Blue Meanie stuck its heater in the full on position.
- The US is really big.
- The superlative artwork for our next album, Further West, is complete and the CD is now being spewn forth at the factory. The first copies will be offered for sale in New Zealand, because that's where we're going, and we'll begin sending out copies to our brave "Let's Put Hungrytown on the Map" contributors after we get back to Vermont in April. The official US release will occur shortly thereafter, assuming we can break the officials out of the asylum.
The ever-expanding photo album 2015 You're Getting To Be a Hobbit With Me Tour is here. If, for some reason, you want to see photos from our 2013 NZ tour, they're here and here.

Annoyed that a couple of moth-eaten folk singers get to tour New Zealand twice in three years while you're forced to listen to your meathead boss go on about working as a stupid team? Visit Hungrytown.net and Facebook.com/hungrytown, and keep in mind that we're just another kind of stupid team.
