Vermont is Beautiful This Time of Year. At Least That's What They Tell Us.
You thought that there would be no May Newsdumpster, right? Well, you can't get rid of us that easily. Fact is, most of May has been consumed with stuffing envelopes, printing labels, meowing and supporting our local post office. That's because we've been servicing the legions of brave contributors who made our "Let's Put Hungrytown On the Map" crowd funding campaign a heaping success. Note to those whose orders included Hungrytown t-shirts: they're still at the mill, but will be forwarded to you as soon as we get them. Early reports regarding our newest spawn, Further West, have been overwhelmingly positive, even amongst the hoi polloi. As of this Newsdumpster, no publications have talked about Further West; therefore, in the interest of quantum mechanics, we decided to ask ourselves, in the year 2050, to offer a retrospective of Further West. Special thanks to Amalgamated Science and Distillery for their time travel blend.
- Rebecca in 2050: "Oh, yes, I remember that old thing. Is that the one that got all them awards? I'm probably thinking about someone else. Tailor Swiffer, that was it. Great set of pipes on that lady."
- Ken in 2050: "Can I have another bag? Nurse! I'm all wet."
Heartburn In the Heartland?
The Blue Meanie finally had its heater fixed, its oil changed and its bearings reupholstered for our first tour in support of Further West, namely, Further Midwest. This tour will take up most of June and half of July and speed us through Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, North and South Dakota and even into Montana. If you or someone you love lives along our tour route, we urge you to take appropriate measures.
If you want a copy of Futher West or any of our other swag, pitch your tent at our new Bandcamp page.
In its first month, Rebecca's Better Call Hall consulting service has already inspired several aspiring, perspiring and expiring songwritiers and touring musicians to do bigger and better things. If you're interested, there's room for one more, honey. Please contact Rebecca at rebecca@hungrytown.net.
