October 2015 Newsdumpster

We've Decided That Deep Fried Haggis On a Stick Is the Scottish Corndog.

We've been one month in the UK on our 2015 Double-Crossing the Pond Tour, smearing ourselves all over England, Wales and Scotland. One of our first destinations after exiting our creaky 757 was BBC Radio Wiltshire, where they made an impromptu video of us hashing out "Hard Way to Learn," an old song from our new record, Further West. Within the next couple of weeks, we'll smear the Netherlands and Germany as well, before rendezvousing with the Blue Meanie in Sterling, Massachusetts and continuing on to New Hampshire, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio and back to Massachusetts in that order and finally, back to Vermont early next month, and if you're still reading this rambling, seemingly endless sentence, that's a lot more than I can say for myself, and I've got lovely bunch of coconuts, there they are, all standing in a row.

Hang on, didn't you just come off your Further Midwest Tour of the Midwest? Why are you going back so soon? Does this have something to do with corn dogs?

We were invited by our great champion, Lilli Kuzma of Chicago's WDCB Radio, to perform at the Presenter & DJ Showcase at Folk Alliance Region Midwest (FARM) in Iowa City. We figured we'd use this opportunity to book a breadbasket of shows there and back.

Okay, it's the corndogs.

I see what you did there. You used bolded and italicized text to create a straw man second person who asks whatever questions you want to hear. I don't think that's fair.

It was only one question, and I don't think it's your job to criticize the Newsdumpster; after all, who's paying your salary?

Are you kidding? If I didn't rent myelf out as a Wizard of Oz prop or cheap bedding, I'd be dead.
