We're so thrilled to have been invited to participate in The Bert Jansch Foundation's Around the World in 80 Plays program! It was a wonderful way to stay connected with music that we love, and musician friends near and far. It seemed especially important during the pandemic--the only time in our careers that we have been home from the road for such an extended period. 

The guitar came to us in the dead of winter after being with the wonderfully talented Liz McBride in Pittsburgh. After we completed our video (Hungrytown performs "Morning Brings Peace of Mind") we drove the guitar down to Northampton, to songwriter (and breadmaker) Jonathan Stevens, just as the ice was beginning to melt. The remarkable thing is that Jonathan owns a bakery called Hungry Ghost. So, from Hungrytown to Hungry Ghost; you can see where we're going with this. After Jonathan, the guitar made its way to Allysen Callery, whose most recent album is called Ghost Folk. Coincidence? I think not. 

We also did a radio interview about the 80 Plays project with Rik Palieri (VT) David Nigel Lloyd (CA), Bert Jansch Foundation founder Geraldine Auerbach (UK) and Gareth Hedges (UK), which was broadcast on Folk Music Notebook. Meanwhile, across the pond our friend Sarah McQuaid was doing her video for Bert in Cornwall, after which she drove the UK/Ireland guitar to none other than Gareth Hedges in Devon!
