Not Only That, We Retired Our 35-Year-Old TV For a Big, Fancy Flat One That Arrived With a Broken Screen.
Our brief excursion home is now a recent memory as we begin our 2016 Further West Tour, with stops in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Oregon, Colorado, Arkansas and Maryland at last count.
As you may know, Further West is not only the name of our annual snowbird tour, it's also the name of our newest and thirdest Hungrytown album, to wit, Further West. We're particularly proud of this album, not only because it resulted from 2014's Let's Put Hungrytown On the Map crowd-funding campaign, but because it falls so nicely to hand. Since it's January, we need to boast about Further West and other stuff from way back in 2015, in no order whatsoever:
- A limb from our giant oak tree fell onto the road, blocking traffic and cutting power to all of our neighbors.
-
BBC Wiltshire's Best of the Guests of 2015. Video of us here.
- Our compost hole is nearly full.
-
New York Music Daily, The 50 Best Albums of 2015.
-
Acoustic Routes, Festive Fifty.
-
Macwood Fleet, My Discovery of 2015.
-
WDCB Folk Festival's Top Fave Albums of 2015.
- Rebecca's hairdresser had a baby
-
WDCB Folk Festival's Top Fave Songs of 2015 ("Hard Way To Learn").
- Ken got two awesome pairs of Chelsea boots at the thrift shop down the hill for $12 total.
-
Gilded Palace of Sin Radio Show, Festive Fifteen.
-
The Quiet Revolution Radio Show, Best Music of 2015.
-
Folkradio.org, Top Songs of 2015.
-
Folkradio.org, Top Albums of 2015.
-
WGDR/WGDH Acoustic Harmony, Favorite Releases from 2015.
-
WHRW, Acoustic Favorites from 2015.
- The Blue Meanie's tires are still pretty good.
Yes, of course we've started a new photo album. It's fairly unpopulated now, but just you wait. If you're brave or foolhardy enough to want more, see our entire photo albums page here.
REBECCA AND KEN WISH YOU AND YOURS A TERRIFIC 2016 AND BEYOND. HOPE TO SEE YOU DOWN THE ROAD.

Discouraged and frustrated because winter is just getting started? If you were in the southern hemisphere, summer would just be getting started. If that doesn't make you feel better, please visit Hungrytown.net or Facebook.com/hungrytown, although that won't help either.
