June 2016 Newsdumpster

JUNE 2016

We Didn't Even Bother to Come Up With a Catchy Title.

We have nothing to say in this Newsdumpster. Sorry. Since getting back to Vermont from our 2016 Further West Tour back in April, we've been about as vegetative as our neighbor's garden. It's been terrific. Really--let me think about this. Well, on April 23, we celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary at the Scottish pub in Chester. In local fashion, we traded in our old green Subaru for a new red one. On the occasion of reaching 233,000 miles (375,000 km), the Blue Meanie got most of its front suspension and tires replaced. We found out that Netflix used a few petals from "Rose Or the Briar," (which appears on Hungrytown), in one episode of their new hit comedy, Lady Dynamite. A yoga place opened up down our road--in fact, Rebecca is there now, and may be until next month's Newsdumpster. Here's a list of things we intended to, but didn't, do (followed by our excuses for not doing them):

  • Record our winter season album (recording computer's power supply burnt out).
  • Paint the house (we're both scared of ladders, and paint).
  • Clean the house (we'd miss the squalor).
  • Plant our own garden (couldn't find a shovel).
  • Get a new smartphone (not smart enough to figure out the old one).
  • Get a new tablet (we have enough pills already).
  • See the septic guy about an outstanding debt (couldn't find a shovel).

When we're within reasonable driving distance from West Townshend, we keep our photos in our 2016 Home Turf photo album. In case you were wondering, which is unlikely.
