NOVEMBER 2014 NEWSDUMPSTER

You Talked, We Listened.  Okay, We Talked, Too, and Probably Louder.

Our first-ever crowd-funded funding campaign, i.e. Let's Put Hungrytown On the Map, just passed the 30% mark on its way toward US$15,000.  A great many thanks to those who've helped us come this far toward creating and promoting our third album.  If you'd like to contribute to our campaign, which features all kinds of enticing incentives, you have until November 15.  Oddly enough, one of the more popular perks has been, as it were, Breakfast with Hungrytown, wherein, for a piddling US$250, we'll take a couple of you to breakfast anywhere along our tour route or near our house in Vermont.  Not only that, we'll throw in a bag of our latest swag.

Some people have voiced concern over Let's Put Hungrytown On the Map, which is why we've crafted our very own FAQs:

Is this the same thing as begging?
No more than your local public radio or television station, Girl Guide or political candidate asking for fundraising dollars.  Or you can think of it as pre-ordering our next CD, T-shirt, poster or hovercraft.  Plus, none of those entities offer hovercrafts, including us.

You're just going to use that money to buy a motorcycle, right?
Sadly, neither of us knows how to ride one.  We intend, however, to bring in top-shelf guest musicians, a mastering engineer, graphic designer and pressing factory, followed by radio and press promoters, plus advertising.  For Any Forgotten Thing, the well ran dry after production, and there was nothing left for promotion, so our prized CD was forced to live down to its namesake.

I've seen your photos.  You're always traveling to exotic places and showcasing and carrying on.  If anything, you should be giving me money, you bums.
That's not a question.  And besides, we get paid to play, and we couldn't survive without developing new markets in addition to maintaining our current ones.  It's just that we do something awesome for a living.  Is that so wrong?

I hate paying through the internet.  Can I just send a check?
Sure.  Hungrytown, P.O. Box 1072, West Townshend, VT 05359.  Please let us know which perks you want, or we'll match up the amount to the appropriate perk.  And let us know if you want to be listed as anonymous.

When can I expect shipment of these so-called perks?
Everything is prospective.  The new CD won't be ready until early next year at the earliest, depending on how much recording, editing and mixing we can do while we're home.  We'll also do our best to have all the related merchandise ready at the same time.  In any case, we'll keep you posted.

I broke both my legs thanks to your "Gravity Plus" cord.  You are so sued.
I think you're looking for Bungeetown, but we can recommend a bad lawyer.

We almost forgot to mention that you can see photos of us frolicking in the Northeast in our 2014 More or Less at Home album.
