Proud To Be The Headline For Yet Another Newsdumpster Where Rebecca and Ken Are Scrambling to Leave For Yet Another Huge Tour.
Our schedule is packed nearly as tightly as our luggage as we prepare for our 2015 Double-Crossing the Pond Tour of the United Kingdom, with a couple of shows in the Netherlands and Germany tagged on. So we really tour a lot--at least 20 percent more than those who do not. Not surprisingly, we're occasionally asked why we do this. Here are a few things that make this lifestyle worthwhile:
- You can collect air miles just by going into debt. The deeper the better!
- It reminds us that some of our email and Facebook friends are human
- The look of despair in our accountant's eyes
- Ken gets to eat stuff that's probably illegal at home
- We like music
- It's fun to compare public restrooms
- The Blue Meanie likes to hang out with the boys at the garage, and touring gives it plenty of opportunity
- Still beats a day job
For the past week and change we were graced with the presence of Vellamo, the Norse goddess of water, and also our friends Pia and Joni, with whom we have toured extensively in Finland. They are now touring the US--if you're within ten thousand miles of one of their shows, you ought to go see them.
Americana UK has a habit of asking bands the same 12 questions. Well, we answered them, and the unsettling results are here. Our 2015 Double-Crossing the Pond Tour photo album will be expanding exponentially here.
See photos of us acting like stupid people at or close to home here.
