DECEMBER 2015 NEWSDUMPSTER

Famous Last Words: We Had to Use This 12-Year-Old Photo of Snow Because We Don't Have Any Yet.

Seems like it's been a year since the last December Newsdumpster, yet here we are again. During that interval, we toured most of the American Northeast, South and Midwest, not to mention New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany as well as an exploratory journey to Earth. Surprisingly, we manage to learn a few new things each year, and here are this year's:

  • Rules for flying with musical instruments don't apply to other countries, especially in economy class.
  • Banjos and mandolins always fit in the airplane overheads; guitars, not so much, especially if other passengers have their own luggage.
  • Belgian beer is awesome, even in Belgium.
  • Expensive harmonicas sound better than cheap ones.
  • Americans, including ourselves, are more optimistic about stuff than everyone else.
  • They make these new LED light bulbs that look just like the old ones.
  • Storms on the Great Plains are really big and really scary, especially in the Blue Meanie.
  • The "Check Engine" light doesn't mean anything, right?

Yes, we took too many pictures. Here are links to all of 2015's photo albums.

We' have quite a few Northeastern shows in December whilst ironing our espadrilles and pep-talking the Blue Meanie in preparation for our 2016 Further West Tour which will take us down to Florida and points west to the extent of California. The fun begins at the end of this month.
