October 2017 Newsdumpster

OCTOBER 2017

That Cabinet Near the Kitchen Sink With the Heavy Steel Door Seems Like an Awkward Place to Store Dishes.

So the events in last month's rantings have come to pass: we moved into our new compound, and closed on the sale of our previous near-tiny house, just four doors down the lane. We bring you this abbreviated Newsdumpster because we need to insulate, secure and install heat for our new barn/studio before it gets too cold to want to do anything.

This place is a definte upgrade from Hungrytown Homestead 1.0; we now have ample space for recording, guests, recording guests and perhaps a couple of polar bears. Of course, we are not without complaints that go along with such a big move:

  • Someone will need to plow our long driveway, and it will not be Ken.
  • The glass display cabinets reveal that we don't actually own anything nice.
  • We finally have a freezer that is cold enough to keep lots of fattening ice cream.
  • The old TV was too small to see in our new living room, so we had to get a big, gorgeous one. What a pain!
  • Since we are now at the end of the road, so to speak, we will be forced to add an extra minute to our tours.

Our two most recent photo albums, here for you:

Concerned that any public space in America might make you the target of a bad guy or a mistaken good guy with a gun? For goodness sake, don't bother with Hungrytown.net or Facebook.com/hungrytown; let your elected representatives know they will lose your vote unless they start taking gun control seriously.
